Details

Ilona is a dancer, dance instructor and choreographer from Helsinki Finland. She has been teaching Bollywood dance and Oriental dance since 2012.

Ilona's dance group Bollywood Kamlees, which consists of her students, is known for their expressive style, beautiful costumes, and authentic choreographies.

To create as authentic Bollywood choreogrphies as possible, Ilona has travelled also to India and France for studying Indian dances. She has knowledge on Garba and Dandiya (taught by Mr. Chetan Jethava), Kalbelia, Ghoomar, Bhangra, and Giddha. She has studied Kathak with Ms. Hanna Mannila in Finland, and Ms. Sushmita Ghosh in India. She has also studied Bharatanatyam in Finland with Ms. Ann Ojala.
